Mathematical Biology Research Group

This interdisciplinary team consists of scientists working in both theoretical and applied branches of mathematics. They are united by a common scientific interest – the application of mathematical methods in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex biological systems and processes.

Main Research Areas
  • Ensuring the biosafety of humans, animals, and plants through the mathematical modeling of key biological systems and processes
  • Mathematical modeling of the spread of pathogens that may cause epidemics, epizootics or epiphytotics
  • Modeling and forecasting the dynamics of the outbreaks and spread of emergent infectious diseases
  • Population dynamics of agricultural plants and animals
